Flange pedestals for rail systems
Kreber has already been providing the market with flange pedestals for the railway systems for many years. They have been developed in close partnership with Prorail and are used for adjusting the points in shunting yards. 2 types are produced.
2 types are produced with regard to flange pedestals:
- EHO (electrohydraulic flange pedestal)
- VHO (foot hydraulic flange pedestal)
There are 2 versions of the EHO:
- EHO-M (BEA 00303-1, former NS Code Number PC 37000) with manual emergency operation
by way of a track lining device.
- EHO-H ( BEA 00303-3, former NS Code Number PC 37010) with a hydraulic emergency operation
by way of a foot pump and a track lining device.

The EHOs:
- Exert a constant pressing force of 900 N on the switch bar;
- Are not damaged by occasional opening of the points;
- Are compatible with all manual points operated by NS.
The VHOs (BEA 00291, former NS Code Number PC 37020):
- Exert a constant pressing force of 900 N on the switch bar;
- Are not damaged by occasional opening of the points;
- The point can be operated using a track lining device when there are faults or failures;
- May only be operated 12 times per hour in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations;
- Are not suitable for double slip points.
